Your Opportunity:

Located in Calgary, the Peter Lougheed Centre (PLC) is an acute care hospital offering both inpatient and outpatient services. The PLC has over 600 inpatient beds, including Medical, Surgical, Pediatrics, Women’s Health and Critical Care. The PLC is the Vascular Centre for Southern Alberta, Southwestern Saskatchewan and Southeastern British Columbia.
Under general supervision from the Social Work Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to provide Social Work services primarily to the Emergency department and as needed to provide coverage support to: medical/surgical units, maternity/pediatrics units, critical care, and outpatient clinic areas at the PLC. These services are primarily clinical in nature, and include advanced level assessment and treatment (including, but not limited to: psychosocial assessments, counseling, case management and discharge planning).
