Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a large education organization in Denver, Colorado. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial operations while providing added capacity during a period of increased accounting activity and system enhancement work. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to improve processes in a fast-paced, fully onsite environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead core accounting activities related to the monthly close process, including preparing entries, reviewing balances, and ensuring timely completion of assigned deliverables.
• Perform detailed reconciliations across general ledger accounts and numerous bank accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues accurately.
