Our client, a well‑established organization based in Amagansett, is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant to support the accounting team during a busy period. This role is hands‑on and operational, ideal for a detail‑oriented accountant who is comfortable working in a traditional accounting environment with significant manual processes. The position will start fully in‑office, with the opportunity to move to a hybrid schedule once fully trained.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
+ Process weekly payroll for approximately 55 employees
+ Utilize Certapay for payroll processing
+ Ensure accurate employee data, hours, deductions, and compliance
+ Assist with payroll-related reporting and reconciliations
Accounts Payable
+ Handle high-volume, manual / paper-based AP processing
+ Perform check runs and vendor payments
+ Code invoices accurately to the general ledger
