STATE REGISTERED NURSE, SURGICAL WARD

Job Responsibilities

• Understand and carry out nursing care in line with Vision and Mission Statements, Goals and Objectives suitable to the scope of Nursing Services.
• Perform shift duties as assigned by Unit Manager within Unit’s Operational Hours.
• Inform Unit Manager of any changes in circumstances affecting standards of care.
• Receive and handover patient reports; be familiar with patient case details and progress.
• Ensure all doctors’ orders are carried out before shift change and upon assuming case, reporting any incidents or problems encountered.
• Visit every patient together with team members when taking over duties to assess condition, compare with report, re‑plan nursing care per assessment or evaluation, and determine nursing priorities.
• Provide individualized holistic care using the Nursing Process approach and maintain contemporaneous documentation in patient files.
