Structural Design Engineer - Nuclear

ALTEN UK is supporting major programmes within the defence and infrastructure sectors and is looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on complex building and structural design projects in the Nuclear sector.

This role will involve contributing to the detailed design and assessment of safety‑critical structures, supporting highly regulated engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the detailed structural design of buildings within a multidisciplinary engineering team
• Prepare engineering calculation notes and technical substantiation documents
• Analyse and review technical documentation, drawings and engineering specifications
• Carry out reinforced concrete checks in accordance with relevant standards and codes
• Design using Eurocode and British Standards
