**Job Description**

The role of a Structures Technician involves research and technical data application for inspection, repair, and replacement of aircraft sheet metal structures, such as main landing gear fittings, aircraft skins, and floor beams, following maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies.

**Responsibilities**

+ Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
+ Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts, equipment, and products using knowledge of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining, and layout techniques.
+ Select gauge and type of sheet metal or nonmetallic material according to product specifications.
+ Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials using scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
