Opportunity Description
The Assistant Accountant providessupport to the FC regarding the fixed cost accounting and forecasting of the Powerlink UK business activities. The role aims to deliver efficient and effective support to the month end accounting closure and reporting of fixed cost performance against budget and forecast to applicable local business managers.
This role provides key support to the FC and in accordance with the overall business needs ad-hoc tasks will be assigned as required.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Become the focal point for cost centre accounting for the local Powerlink business, providing support to the cost centre managers on cost queries, variance analysis & commentary on performance of actual versus budget and forecast
Assist in the monthly forecasting process
Calculation and posting of month end fixed cost accruals and prepayments
