Summary

Under the direction of an assigned team member, works together with physicians to perform a variety of routine and specialized imaging procedures. Sets up and adjusts equipment to perform diagnostic quality exams and procedures. Is able to position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, while respecting the patient's ability and comfort. Under supervision, is able to perform more advanced imaging techniques in advanced imaging modalities. Obtains appropriate patient information for the procedure being completed and is able to provide comprehensive education to patients, answer questions and address any patient concerns. Practices sterile technique, preventing cross contamination to patients or instruments. Provides radiation protection to the patient, technologist and anyone else in the area, utilizing PPE and other guidelines as needed.
