Sustainable Laboratory Benchmarking Intern

This is a part-time summer internship in partnership between Yale Planetary Solutions and the Yale Office of Facilities. This summer intern will be responsible for initiating Yale’s participation in the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) Laboratory Benchmarking Tool (LBT), an exciting opportunity for Yale to contribute data to a multinational database and measure building performance against other research institutions. The intern will collect and and consolidate data about Yale’s lab spaces, working together with Yale Facilities Engineering, the Office of the University Architect, and relevant academic departments to collect accurate and current information. The benchmarking tool requires that each laboratory entry contain information about the building and primary research categories, breakdowns of floor area by use and lab type, documentation of building systems and operations, and historical utility and emissions data, as well as embodied carbon information...
