Systems Engineer, Managed Operations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related IT discipline) or equivalent industry experience. Knowledge or experience in scripting (Bash, Python, or Ruby) or software development (Java, TypeScript, or similar), coupled with Linux and networking fundamentals to effectively troubleshoot and optimize system performance and reliability.

• Able to execute standard operating procedures and follow operational best practices.
• Knowledge or experience operating services in AWS or other cloud systems or services.
• Knowledge or experience operating 24/7 high-availability, distributed software applications, performance tuning software applications, and optimizing fleet utilization and monitoring frameworks (CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Elastic).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
