Summary: Under the direction of the branch manager, the incumbent repairs, reconditions, and maintains motor-driven welding equipment and generators, and ensures that the work environment is safe.Key Responsibilities
Ensure a safe working environment by complying with Airgas/Red-D-Arc health and safety guidelines.
Repair and refurbish all electric drives and motors.
Assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental. Test and calibrate machines to ensure they are functional for rental or sale.
Repaint parts, touch up paint, and apply decals to welders to maintain overall appearance.
Replace defective parts and perform necessary preventive maintenance.
Order parts needed to perform repairs.
Inspects returned equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and/or has not been damaged by the customer.
