What the role is:
Temporary Student Support Officer (Special Education Needs)
What you will be working on:- Provide individualized support to students in managing challenging behaviours in school, including support management for meltdowns.
- Support the Special Education Needs (SEN) team to implement behaviour interventions and learning support plans for students with SEN in collaboration with academic team and other stakeholders.
- Maintain records of student progress and interventions implemented.
- Assist with organising, implementing, and facilitating training and advocacy programmes for students with SEN.
- Partner with SEN team, academic team and other stakeholders to create a supportive environment conducive to the success of students with SEN.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the student system's (STAR) Case Management module.
