This position performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging including a variety of procedures (invasive and non-invasive) ranging from a variety of biopsies, routine OB/GYN, limited vascular, abdomen, small body parts to intra-cavity and color Doppler. Technologist must have strong critical thinking, interpersonal skills and ability to problem-solve while assuming responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the technologist's care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to deal effectively with and instruct patients who may be under physical/emotional stress; ability to comprehend and follow physicians verbal orders and follow imaging protocols.
