Skillforce Recruitment are seeking a Trade Assistant with Basic Mig Welding Expereince for ongoing work based in Cockburn .

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare Materials: Measure, cut, clean, and fit metal components, often tack-welding or clamping them in place.
• MIG Weld: Operate MIG welding equipment to fuse metal parts, ensuring proper amperage, voltage, and gas flow.
• Grind & Finish: Use grinders to smooth welds, remove imperfections, and prepare surfaces for finishing.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed welds for strength, appearance, and compliance with specifications (e.g., zero defects).
• Safety: Follow all safety guidelines, wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
