Job Overview:

The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Technician is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments used for surgical procedures and patient care. This role includes performing daily biological and sterile supply testing, maintaining logs, assisting with endoscopy procedures, organizing instrument needs throughout the facility, and stocking and ordering supplies as needed.

The SPD Technician will work closely with the surgical team and other departments to maintain patient safety, efficient workflow, and effective communication. The position also requires adherence to AVH policies along with AORN, AAMI, HSPA, and CER standards for sterile processing practices.
