Uqapiaqti (Iñupiaq Speaker)

**Job Description**

Iñupiaq speakers in this role will support and guide the Iñupiaq language learning of immersion teachers and children in Northwest Arctic Borough School District immersion classrooms in a positive and loving way. Speakers in this position will be employed and supervised by Aqqaluk Trust but their work location will be at the school. **There is currently one position available at Ambler School, one position at Shungnak School, and one position at JNES in Kotzebue.** If willing, the Iñupiaq speaker may provide other support to Aqqaluk Trust language programs. Typical schedule will be 1 - 2 hours per day, 5 days per week but can be adjusted as necessary.
