Job Description
As a Welder, the candidate will be responsible for welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment. Tasks include inspecting workpieces for defects and measuring them with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications, tacking components together, and performing other related tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the appropriate welding process.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws).
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, etc.
