Junior Accountant

RPO Recruitment is partnering with a leading mining company in Johannesburg to find a talented Junior Accountant to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Full accounts receivable cycle (including local & export sales, export documentation, debtors’ reconciliation, traffic workbook updates, letter of credit checks, etc.)
• Full accounts payable cycle, including cash flow forecasting, VAT and diesel refunds, SARB submissions, cashbook processing and banking functions
• Invoicing
  • Submit local sale invoices aligned with signed contracts
  • Check and confirm accuracy of export invoices against signed contracts
  • Prepare and review monthly debtor statements
• Payments
  • Follow up to ensure payments received within debtor terms and communicate exceptions
  • Submit required documentation to banks for incoming funds clearance (UCR Number)
