Junior Process Engineer

Purpose of the job

The Process Engineer (EIT) will support the implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within a recycled fibre, packaging paper mill. The role focuses on improving fibre recovery, reducing process losses, enhancing machine efficiency, and stabilising product quality across stock preparation, paper machine, and finishing operations.

The incumbent will work closely with production, maintenance, and technical teams to identify inefficiencies, reduce variability, and drive sustainable performance improvements in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support implementation of lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM, SMED, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Identify losses such as fibre loss, downtime, contamination, and inefficiencies.
