Junior Sister/Charge Nurse

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without supervision.
• Act as the designated deputy to the Ward Manager.
• Teach and supervise junior and unqualified staff and maintain a learning environment.
• Work well under pressure in a very busy area, caring for older people who are often frail and general medical patients including those with endocrine conditions.
• Work as part of a team and perform well as an individual, delivering high quality care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
