About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant at HC‑One, you’ll value kindness above all, ensuring that every resident receives high‑quality, nutritious meals tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation under the direction of the Chef or Cook.
- Serve meals with warmth, respect, and timeliness.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including equipment and surfaces.
- Monitor and record food storage temperatures (fridges, freezers, etc.).
- Support stock rotation and proper ingredient storage.
- Train new team members on safe kitchen equipment use.
- Washing up and ensuring a spotless kitchen after busy periods.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with kitchen experience and a passion for helping others. You should have an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation—or the willingness to work towards it. Strong organisational skills, keen attentio...
