Kitchen Cook

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Kitchen Cook role based at Columbia Asia in Johor Baharu. The Kitchen Cook will prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, portioning guidelines, and nutritional requirements, including patient meals, staff meals, and visitor menus. Responsibilities include daily food preparation, safe handling and storage of ingredients, proper use of kitchen equipment, and maintaining a clean, hygienic work environment in line with hospital and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Practical cooking skills in a commercial or institutional kitchen, with the ability to follow standardized recipes and prepare meals at volume.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP or equivalent), including safe food storage and handling.
• Experience in meal preparation for diverse dietary needs, such as low-salt, diabetic, soft diets, and culturally appropriate menus. <...
