Job Description:
The Brain Circuits Laboratory (http://labs.utdallas.edu/braincircuits) , led by Drs. Steven Small and Ana Solodkin, is seeking a highly motivated Lab Technician interested in the computational modeling for early diagnosis of Alzheimer Disease.
This position will utilize model-based and model free metrics as individual fingerprinting for early diagnosis in dementia specially in Alzheimer Disease. The approach seeks to assess brain dynamics to provide a mechanistic assessment in converters to AD. The modeling approach will utilize The Virtual Brain (http://thevirtualbrain.org) neuroinformatics platform. The work entails significant effort in computational neuroscience and biophysics. This position is tied to the North Texas Alzheimer Disease Research Center and is funded by the NIH .
