**Job Summary and Qualifications**

The Lactation Consultant is responsible for understanding and assisting with the lactation process. Provides expert care in lactation management in accordance with the International Lactation Consultant Association and Standards of Practice for International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners or The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice code of ethics, respective of current certification.
