Lead Pharmacy Technician (Evening)

Summary This position is located within the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and Clinics Pharmacy. The lead pharmacy technician performs duties independently which consist of significant scope, complexity and leads at least three GS-07 or more technicians. This position may be in Inpatient, Outpatient, or other specialized areas of the pharmacy at the facility level. Responsibilities The Lead Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the guidance, training, and technical direction of all pharmacy non-pharmacist technical staff and volunteers within the designated area of pharmacy under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor. Incumbent evaluates and coordinates the workflow and technical aspects of pharmacy operations within their designated pharmacy service area. The incumbent may be responsible for personnel scheduling, time-and-attendance processing, and quality assurance activities.
