Summary About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and -operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813. Responsibilities Ensures protection of U.S. Government personnel, information, operations, and critical assets by safeguarding highly sensitive/special access areas where there is potential for significant breach of national security. While on the station desk, incumbent serves as initial point of contact for all activities requiring police action; as well as complainants filed. Updates and maintains Police Blotter through accurate and detailed entries. Conducts daily inventories of keys, sensitive items, and Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AAE). Responds to, investigates, and resolves most emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service, independently with little supervision.
