Lead Software Engineer

Beam.lu building a next-generation Intellectual Property Management System (IPMS) — a SaaS platform that helps IP professionals, in-house counsel, and law firms manage trademarks, patents, designs, and the full lifecycle of their portfolios.

We are hiring a Backend Lead to take ownership of the server-side platform: architecture, code quality, performance, and the engineering practices of the backend team. You will work closely with the product owner, the frontend lead, and DevOps, and report directly to the CTO.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role. You will write code every week, review every meaningful pull request, and set the standard for how we build. You will also mentor mid‑level engineers, run technical design sessions, and represent the backend in cross‑functional planning.

The role is based in Lisbon. We work in a hybrid model with regular in‑person collaboration; relocation support is available for the right candidate.
