Lead Triage Nurse

The post holder will be responsible for triaging referrals into the Gynaecology service from primary care and other secondary care departments.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

To use established pathways to assist with clinically safe triage of referrals. To manage / organise the healthcare needs of patients, accept, downgrade, update and reject referrals or refer to an appropriate service / practitioner as required. To provide clinical support as required/requested and provide operational management of the Nurse triage team. To promote evidence-based practice and act as an accountable role model.
