Learning Centre Support Assistant, Practical Nursing/Health Care Assistant

Position Summary

Reporting to the Faculty of Health and Human Services Dean, and under the supervision by the Senior Administrative Specialist, and at the direction of the Practical Nursing (PN) and Health Care Assistant (HCA) program Department Chairs and PN Learning Centre Coordinator, the Learning Centre Support Assistant provides operational and equipment support to the PN Learning Centre Coordinator, PN and HCA faculty, and students.

The Learning Centre Support Assistant is a vital member of the PN and HCA departments and is responsible for maintaining the Health Lab equipment and inventory; monitoring borrowing of equipment and supplies; assisting with set-up and clean-up of equipment for weekly Health Lab activities; and providing clerical support for ordering and receiving of supplies and equipment.
