LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT VACANCY

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and The Federation Abbey Infant and Junior School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant Level 2 to join our committed and dedicated team.

The successful candidate will work across the school predominantly with children with SEND, providing additional support during lessons as well as at lunchtimes. They should be proactive, show initiative, have a firm but fair approach, and keep the welfare and safety of our children at heart. They may be required to support intimate care needs and toileting.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of NVQ Level 2
• Good general education levels in English and Maths (level 2 at a minimum)
• Experience of working in an educational establishment as a Teaching Assistant
• Experience of supporting children with SEND
