Brief Description

Requirements: •PhD degree in Counselling Psychology or cognate field in Psychology•Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. •Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Counselling Psychologist preferably for three years or more•Educational background, teaching and research interests in counselling psychology (e.g. psychotherapy, psychological assessment, psychopathology) and/or critical community psychology•Experience in teaching psychology at a tertiary level•Proven research ability as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and/or research reports•Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamThis will be a permanent post subject to a three year probationary period.Responsibilities: Teach courses relevant to the specialisation of counselling and/or community psychology, research methods and/or psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level; contributions to course-level curriculum development a...
