Permanent, Part‑Time (0.8) position, funded for the 2026/27 academic year. The successful candidate will not be expected to commence prior to August 2026.

Merton College is seeking an inspiring and committed English Lecturer to join our School of Adult Education. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping adult learners develop the English skills they need to progress in education, employment and everyday life.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, inclusive teaching across a range of levels.
• Act as a personal tutor, supporting learners’ academic progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
• Manage evening teaching sessions.
