LECTURER, INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION - SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

(What the role is) This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Industrial Automation in the School of Engineering. (What you will be working on) As a Lecturer in Industrial Automation, you will be responsible for delivering education in automation technologies, industrial control systems, and production digitalisation. Your expertise in programming industrial controllers (PLCs), designing Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and integrating smart sensors, vision systems, actuators, and motor drives will help students develop real-world automation solutions. Additionally, you will teach industrial networking and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) technologies, including communication protocols such as OPC UA, enabling students to monitor machine performance and calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
