Key Responsibilities
Provide proactive, timely and business-focused legal advice on financial services regulations;
Advise on the design and modification of products and business models, proactively identify associated risks and recommend mitigation strategies, and review product user experiences to ensure legal compliance with applicable laws.
Qualifications
~ J. D. or equivalent required.
~ Admitted to, and in good standing with, the Mexican Bar.
~6 or more years of experience practicing either in-house (or an equivalent setting) or at a reputable law firm, with a focus on payments law, the fintech space, or financial services and related regulatory analysis.
~ Ability to advise on federal money transmission and financial services regulations; data privacy; anti-money laundering, consumer protection; payment card network and related rules; and other guidance coming out of federal and state agencies including the CNBV, Banxico, PROFECO, INAI, among others.
