Legal Billing Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to support a busy legal organization in La Jolla, California. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who understands the pace and precision required in legal billing and can manage invoices accurately while meeting client-specific requirements. The person in this role will work closely with attorneys, staff, and billing leadership to keep the billing cycle moving efficiently and resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities:
• Review and revise prebills based on attorney feedback, making updates needed for accurate and timely client invoicing.
• Prepare invoices for submission by completing tasks such as dividing charges among clients, applying retainer balances, and organizing supporting billing details.
• Process attorney and paralegal time entries into client bills while following outside counsel guidelines and firm billing standards.
