Key responsibilities
- Frontline Customer Service: act as the first point of contact for all visitors, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Promoting Reading & Literacy: actively champion the joy of reading. You will help customers discover new authors, and support literacy initiatives across the service.
- Information and IT Support: deal effectively with all customer enquiries—face‑to‑face, over the phone, and digitally including support with IT and digital services.
- Operational Duties: carry out essential general library duties, support building security, and perform basic health & safety tasks.
- Events and Activities: actively support and participate in a wide range of events and activities for all ages, from story times to digital workshops.
