Library maintenance supervisor

Position Purpose/Summary

Responsible for maintaining the exterior and interior of the Central Library and all City library branches. Coordinates with facilities management for tradesmen as well as using the City Munis work order system. Work is performed with professional administrative judgment and decision in accordance with the policies and objectives of the Library Department, with review by the Business Manager who reviews work through reports and conferences. Supervision is exercised over all assigned personnel.

Essential Functions Maintains adequate interior and exterior lighting. Replaces bulbs, lenses or other light fixture related parts. Performs basic rough carpentry. Installs or repairs library furniture, cabinetry, locks, artwork, minor window work and many other carpentry related issues. Coordinates movement of heavy objects.
