Summary This Licensed Practical Nurse role is available at the VA Community Care Clinic in York, PA, and is specifically open to current employees of the Lebanon, PA VAMC. Responsibilities The York VA Outpatient Clinic Lab LPN is responsible for the evidence-based care of a group of patients as follows: Supports diagnostic procedures Receives patients scheduled for the various clinics, phlebotomy, or arriving for other ambulatory care. Assist patients with getting on and off examination tables/phlebotomy chairs. Escorts ambulatory patients and transports patients via litter or wheelchair when required. Ensures all specimens are labeled according to facility policy. Sets up examination room by providing necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring clinic area and equipment is aseptically clean and in order, and assures patient charts and necessary information is available.
