Life Safety and Fire Protection Coordinator

Summary The position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administrations (VHA), Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), at the Hampton VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Hampton, Virginia, within the Engineering Service in the Safety section. The primary purpose of this position assesses the effectiveness of specific life and fire safety programs designed to eliminate or minimize unsafe conditions at a facility. Responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for the coordination and compliance efforts of the life safety and fire protection prevention programs, planning and implementation. The incumbent assumes a lead role in the development of life safety and fire protection prevention goals, policy, and procedural documentation for the facility.
