Locally Employed Doctor (Higher) in Emergency Medicine - HGS sites
Applications are invited for a Locally Employed Doctor (Higher) based at the Heartlands and Good Hope Hospitals, part of UHB NHS Trust. This post is suitable for doctors looking to work at middle‑grade level in the Emergency Department. We will actively support all clinicians to achieve competencies in the RCEM curriculum and completion of the FRCEM examinations.

Candidates applying for this post must have a minimum of 4 years post‑graduation experience with a significant proportion of that in acute specialties and at least 24 months in emergency medicine (EM).
Main duties of the job
Clinical Duties
- Assess, diagnose, treat, refer, and discharge patients presenting to the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit (CDU).
- Provide rapid assessment and triage for both walk‑in and ambulance patients.
