Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics (Upper Limb Surgery)

This is a locum post and has been specifically designed to help the expanding Upper limb service. The successful candidate will join a team of 10 Consultants both to provide their services for the Trust, and to ensure that the Junior Doctors are continually supported at the required level and that their training needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Participation in the Trauma On-call service 1 in 10
• Operative lists, both Trauma and elective
• Regular ward rounds
• Outpatient clinics, both Elective and Trauma
• Active involvement in Trauma management, both Adult and Paediatric
• Supervision and training of middle grade
• Participation in management duties within the department and the Trust
• Active liaison with the Accident & Emergency department and attendance at Local and Regional Trauma meetings
