Locum Consultant Nephrologist

Job Summary

Applications are warmly invited from energetic and enthusiastic candidates to join our team at Heartlands Hospital covering a one-year Sabbatical leave. The successful applicant will be working alongside 12 Consultant Nephrologists providing integrated Renal Services for people living in East Birmingham and its surroundings, as part of the wider Nephrology department at University Hospitals of Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB).

UHB is the largest single NHS provider of nephrology care in the UK with a catchment population of 1.7 million serving a highly diverse community, including areas with some of the highest incident and prevalent rates for end‑stage renal disease in the UK. At Heartlands, we deliver comprehensive renal services locally and regionally, and are committed to providing patient care and professional development of the highest standards.
