Opportunity Description
Position Summary
Receive, log, inventory and secure lost and found articles. Inspect articles and telephone or send letters to owners when identification is known. Return articles to owners upon positive identification. Arrange for disposal of unclaimed property and deliver property and currency to NYPD or NYU Bursar Department on a regular basis. Maintain related records. Respond to inquiries regarding lost and found articles.
Qualifications
Required Education:High School diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:2 years of office experience.Preferred Experience:1-2 years of office experience (with Associate's degree).Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proficiency with intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Moderate, accurate keyboarding.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proficiency with intermediate-level Microsoft Office. Good writing and proofreading skills.
