Applications are invited for the post of a full-time (36 hours per week), Band 3, Healthcare Science Support Worker Higher Level, in the Aberdeen Genetics and Molecular Pathology Laboratory, a UKAS accredited member laboratory of the Scottish Genomics Network, funded by the National Services Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample reception including handling, receipt and dispatch of a range of patient samples.
• Data entry into laboratory databases.
• Provide general administrative support and perform basic laboratory duties.
• Deal with telephone queries from users.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education/experience to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent knowledge.
• Knowledge of routine and non-routine healthcare science duties.
