Machining Group Leader

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Machining Group Leader for a manufacturing client in Flint, MI. This role will be responsible for supervising a machining production area, overseeing daily operations across CNC machines, manual machining centers, and related equipment. You will lead and support 10–20 hourly production employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality machining operations. The Group Leader will work closely with maintenance and tooling teams to address machine downtime, coordinate preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to maintain throughput. Responsibilities include ensuring production schedules, takt times, and quality standards are consistently met while enforcing standard work, safety procedures, and machining best practices.
