[What the role is]
This role is responsible for formulating regulatory and operation policies, and processes relating to telcos’ use of space and land to provide telecom services. This includes long-term planning for developments to cater for relevant infrastructure upfront, establishing clear rules of engagements for access by telcos, and establishing the roles and responsibilities between development owners vis-à-vis telcos. These cover both public and private land/development owners. These are in support of IMDA’s vision of a building a vibrant, world class info-communications sector that drives the Digital Economy.[What you will be working on]
- Policy development and review of infrastructure and access matters, which may include reviewing the Telecommunications Act, the Code of Practice for Info-communication Facilities in Buildings and guidelines pertaining to telecommunication infrastructure deployments.
