Job duties and responsibilities
- Provide leadership, training, motivation and direction to all staff.
- Coach and develop employees, including performance management, training, orientation and disciplinary action.
- Schedule & manage team member shifts; recruit & select employees.
- Delegate supplier orders and other tasks to staff; perform supplier audits.
- Participate, oversee and audit workplace Health & Safety matters.
- Create and implement contingency plans in the event of operational disruptions.
- Advise key staff of abnormal freight movements and special handling instructions.
- Complete and approve payroll timesheets on a bi‑weekly basis; completion of Human Resources documents.
- Prepare, collect & review documentation and establish procedures specific to the station’s operation.
- Co‑operate with Airport Authority and other carriers to ensure assistance when required.
