The successful candidate will be part of a small, dedicated team to formulate and review policies and legislation governing food trade and product regulation as part of implementation of the Food Safety and Security Act (FSSA), which is Singapore Food Agency’s new legislation. Working closely with colleagues across Divisions in the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and other relevant ministries and agencies, the officer will contribute to the full policy-to-legislation pipeline — from analysis and position development through to the drafting of legal text — across areas including import control, specific food product regulation, and sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) matters.

• Formulate and review policies for the import control of food, food‑producing animals, and animal feed, using a science‑based risk management approach and benchmarking against international standards and regulatory frameworks.
