Manager/Senior Manager (Singapore Maritime Crisis Centre

The officer plays a key role towards the Whole-of-Government approach to detect and deter maritime security (MARSEC) threats in the Port of Singapore and Singapore Territorial Water (STW). This is particularly important as Singapore is strategically located at the convergence of key shipping routes around the world, with up to 70% of the world’s global maritime economy transiting through the Singapore Straits. Maritime Security is important to safeguard Singapore’s strategic maritime interest and maintains Singapore’s status as the premier hub port as well as the international maritime centre.

As a MPA representative, the officer will be seconded to Singapore Maritime Crisis Centre (SMCC) full time and serve as a subject matter expert for shipping industry developments, commercial shipping practices, and national and international regulations governing the shipping industry.
