Managing Principal Solicitor, Regulation

About the role:
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Public Law and Legislation, the Managing Principal Solicitor Regulation will form part of the senior management team within the Legal and Governance Branch. They will have a specific focus on the drafting of all health relate portfolio subordinate legislation and be responsible for ensuring all regulations supportive the departments legislative portfolio effectively and manage the departments subordinate legislation timelines.
They will also be responsible for building public service capabilities to support the departments legal compliance which includes drafting delegations and authorisation for the department and its related Ministers, including knowledge of the Financial Management Act and Public Administration Act.
